ACADEMIC YEAR & SCHOOL HOURS

The academic year of the school Commences from 1st June and ends by March 31st. The School Hours are between 8.50 a.m. to 3.20 p.m. School office will be functioning on all working days from 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. However money transactions will be permitted only up to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

HIGHER SECONDARY CLASSES ( Xl - Xll )

The School offers Senior Secondary Classes for the following streams.
I.

Physics , Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics.

II. Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Computer Science.
III. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Computer Science.

EXAMINATION

The school conducts two mid - term and three terminal Examinations in an academic year . In addition , teachers will give class tests on the completion of each lesson. Students who remain absent in the examinations should produce leave application with Medical Certificate.
No re-exam will be given for the absentees. Students found guilty of any malpractice in the examination hall will be subjected to stern disciplinary action.

After the examination progress report is sent to the parents and this should be countersigned by the parent and returned within three days. Parents may discuss the progress of their wards with the Principal / teachers at the permitted time.

PROMOTION

Promotion of a student is based on his \ her overall performance in the examination and grading in internal assessments. A student has to secure 40% of marks in each subject for promotion . He should also secure at least ' D ' Grade for internal assessment.

Interest and participation in the extra - curricular activities of the school.

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

Students have to come to school in clean and tidy school uniform.

»

They should be disciplined , well - mannered, punctual and obedient. They should be polite and courteous to elders and respectable persons when they meet them.

»

The students should take part in sports and games of their choice.

»

They should be prompt in studies and home exercises to be done regularly and submitted at the appointed time.

Students should handle the school properties with utmost care. Any damage to the school property will have to be made good by the students responsible for the damage .

Playing in classrooms and corridors is strictly prohibited.

»

Students should abstain from any abusive or obscene words and a student whose conduct is not up to the standard shall be asked to leave the school.

» The Students are expected to communicate in English within the premises of the school.
SUGGESTIONS TO PARENTS

Good education is the joint effort of the school and the parents. So parents' full co-operation is earnestly solicited.

»

If your child has the habits or traits of character which need special watching , please report to the Principal in writing.

Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities in enforcing the rules, regulation and discipline of the school by seeing that their children prepare their lessons and take an active and helpful interest in the activities of the institution.

»

Parents and guardians are specially requested to notify the institution of any change in their address.

»

Parents and guardians who want to discuss the welfare and progress of their children should meet the Principal instead of teachers.

»

Entrusting a pupil to the school implies that parents agree to stand by the rules and regulations of the school and they should see that their children also abide by the school regulations .

Please look in to your ward's school diary and note books frequently and see to it that the assigned home work is done regularly.

»

Please see and countersign the remarks made in the school diary regularly.

»

You may contact the subject teachers and class teachers personally in the staff room. Please don't disturb the class.

»

Parents are requested to take note of sign and return evaluated answer scripts and report cards sent to them from time to time without delay ; otherwise the students may be barred from attending classes.

Parents are requested to deposit the fees as per rules . Defaulters will not be permitted to attend the class.

»

Defaulters of bus fees will not be allowed to board the bus.

»

Parents should not send costly articles, ornaments etc. with your wards . The school won't take any responsibility if valuables are lost due to their carelessness.
